RVCBard tagged me for the 7 strange things meme. So I have to tell you 7 unusual things about myself... Hrmm. OK. Here goes.
1. I have (currently hanging in the back of my closet) a red and white gingham (think Bob Evans tablecloth) dress and matching bonnet that my grandma made for me when I was about 6. I used to wear it to school in first grade. And I don't mean for Halloween, I mean for like, Thursday. I was really into "Little House on the Prairie."
2. I sleep best when I have the covers pulled all the way up to my chin but my feet sticking out to keep cool.
3. I really, really hate the word "slacks."
4. I am terrified of birds. Last weekend I was at football game, and when some seagulls started swooping around above our heads, I almost had a meltdown.
5. I like to give pets first and last names. I have had a cat named Bunny Lebowski, a dog named Mookie Blaylock, and joint ownership of a Beta fish named Vanity Smurf.
6. For several years in my late teens/early twenties, I drove a car with a broken-off radio antenna and a stereo system that chewed up cassette tapes, so when I was in the car for long stretches of time, I used to interview myself. I would phrase questions in my head about things in my life I wanted to discuss and then answer the questions out loud. Basically, I was formulating whatever topics I might want to discuss with real people, putting together clever, charming ways to present myself and my life just in case anybody actually asked me about myself later on. Sometimes on drives back and forth to college, I did this for hours, fully aware of how bizarre and pathetic this practice was. I loved it.
7. I have an astonishing talent for navigating the internet. I love to follow links to the deepest, most hidden corners of the world wide web. If it's out there, I will find it. I actually think this is a pretty valuable skill but haven't figured out how to convince someone to make that a paying job yet.
OK. So, now I tag Jen, Gen, Tait, Paul and Nick.

I have no patience for bureaucracies that proclaim that they are unable to innovate. It's not that they are unable to do so, it's that they don't want to do ...

If you find a use for #7, please let me know, 'cause I'm there with you.
Laura,
Do people often ask you, "Where do you find this stuff?"
Because I get that same question for videos or P2P stuff.
Yes, all the time. And I just think to myself, "People, people! Make love to the Google."
"Oh, Google! You're so good!"
Anyway, I posted a response to your comment on my blog. You'd better be coming in February is all I'm sayin'.
